Camp fYrefly Schedule

The Camp schedule is structured using a residential camp style approach, which provides full amenities and delivers nutritious meals. The schedule includes multiple, concurrent daily workshop sessions, large group activities including plenary sessions by special guests, free time, and structured time that allows Campers and their Youth Leaders to check-in and debrief with each other in small groups. In keeping with the arts-informed orientation of the Camp, a talent showcase is at the heart of our programming. Past Camp schedules have variously included field trips to a movie theatre, the Art Gallery of Alberta, or other art studios. For example, since 2006 Camp fYrefly-Edmonton has scheduled a field trip to the Princess Theatre to watch a queer-themed film, and the Edmonton Transit System has graciously provided transportation.
